40Love’s MVP journey - How Exline Labs built a game-changing club management system

40Love reached us with the requirement of tailor making a web-based online solution for tennis management. Basically, they wanted to disrupt the ordinary practices in tennis club management, tennis tournament management and tennis coaching management processes. The core idea is to convert tennis management into a smarter, simpler, and a faster process.

When 40Love started working with us, they had a local FileMaker-based setup that was functional. But that setup had numerous limitations.This organization was looking for a scalable, and modern platform that can centralize all aspects of club and tournament management while offering an interface for players, coaches, and organizers with high-level user-experience.

40Love platform was built to serve three main user groups as follows:

Tennis Players: Basically, tennis players had the need of registering for tournaments, tracking their performance on a regular basis, and connecting and networking with other tennis players.

Tennis Coaches: 40Love had to become a space that has the capability of managing private lessons and communicating with clients.

Tennis Tournament Organizers and Tennis Clubs: This user group has the requirement of handling memberships, matching schedules, tournaments, and payments.

Possessing a clear figure about the audiences, we delivered a smart club management system MVP for 40Love.

During the initial stage, we developed the mobile app. In the next phase, the client requested a web admin panel for managing bookings, users, tennis matches and reports. We at Exline Labs considered that request as an opportunity to showcase our UX design for startups expertise.

Our UX Process At A Glance

Step 1 - Collection of the Client’s Requirements In Detail: After having a few meeting rounds with the client, we outlined all the essential admin functionalities related to user management, tournament data, tennis reports, and settings.

Step 2 - Conducting Competitor Research & Layout Planning: First of all, we went through existing sports management dashboards in the market. There we were able to spot best practices. Depending on the learnings, we designed a minimalist sidebar layout which is pretty easy to navigate.

Step 3 - Creating Low-Fidelity Wireframes: We created wireframes in Figma and then finalized layout structure before moving into high-fidelity design.

Step 4 - Visual Style Guide: We applied the mobile app’s branding to the web admin panel:

Step 5 - Prototyping & Iterations: Once the UI was completed, we created a clickable prototype and shared it with the client. Then we received feedback from the client. Depending on the feedback, we made minor layout adjustments prior to the final submission of the project.

Creating the 40Love Club Management system was not just an ordinary MVP development project. We had a challenge to transform a legacy system which was built with FileMaker and locally installed into a scalable digital product.

Via custom MVP development, our team re-engineered the 40Love application utilizing modern web technologies, and developed the app cloud-based so that it is accessible across devices.
