Why Exline Labs exists.

Most software companies build what they're asked to build. Tharsh founded Exline Labs in 2023 to close the gap between what a business actually needs and what gets built.

On one side there are founders, SME directors and businesses with a problem to solve or an idea to test.

On the other there's design, engineering and strategy.

Our work sits in between. We research before we build, we ask questions before we make assumptions, and we keep you involved in every decision, from the first conversation to launch.

It isn't a formal methodology. It's a belief about how good software gets delivered, and it shapes how we scope projects, how we structure teams and how we keep clients in the loop.

Where we are going.

We're growing for depth, not size. We'd rather do fewer things well, and be the company UK and international founders call when the brief is complex or the stakes are high, not the cheapest or the fastest name on a list.

More and more founders now build their first version with AI or no-code tools. Taking those products to production, securely and properly hosted, is already a large part of our work, and it's where we're investing next. AI writes more of the code every year. Knowing what to keep, what to rewrite and what will break once real users arrive is the part that still needs experienced engineers.

We also build and run our own products, like NoiseCase, so we feel the same pressures our clients do. We'll grow the team in step with the work, publish more of what we've built, and keep building a company Tharsh would want to join.

UX is the foundation, not a phase

Every product starts with the people who'll use it. Before we design a screen or write a line of code, we map the problem, how users behave and where they get stuck.

The brief is a starting point, not a contract

We treat your brief as the start of a conversation. If something in it doesn't hold up, we raise it early, before any work starts, while it's still cheap to change.

Communication is part of the delivery

You get shared tools, daily updates and a demo at every sprint review. We don't treat updates as an extra. They're part of what you're paying for.

We're a software development company for founders, co-founders, managing directors and product managers at businesses of up to 250 people. Most of our clients are startups and SMEs in the UK, and we also work with clients in Germany, France, Ireland and New Zealand.

Our registered office is in Trincomalee, Sri Lanka. Most of the team works from Colombo, and some work remotely from other parts of Sri Lanka. We're all online 8am to 5pm UK time.

Tharsh Thangavadivel

Founder and CEO

Tharsh is the founder and CEO of Exline Labs. He leads product strategy and UX research at the company and takes every discovery call himself, so the person who scopes your product stays accountable for it. Under his lead, Exline Labs has worked with more than 30 clients, from first MVPs to platforms like C4 Logistics, and builds and runs its own products, including NoiseCase. He stays involved in every project from kickoff to delivery.
