Already built something?

Built it with AI or no-code? You don't have to start over.

A lot of founders now build their first version in Lovable, Bolt or Bubble. It works in the demo, then the problems start. The App Store rejects it, the login isn't secure, the data won't hold up once real users arrive, or the credits cost more every month.

We fix these problems every week. It starts with a fixed-fee assessment from £750, so you know what's wrong and what it will cost before you commit to anything. Then we get your product live, secure and hosted in the UK, and only rebuild the parts that need it.

Don't take our word for it.

Working with Exline has allowed our agency to grow. We've been able to take on and deliver projects that, without their support, would have been difficult or, in some cases, impossible for us to do on our own. Communication has been clear and responsive, and their project management has been smooth.

How working with Exline Labs actually feels different.

01

We research before the first call.

Before your discovery call, we look into your project, your market and your competitors, and form a view. So the call starts with what we noticed, not a list of questions we could have emailed you. You leave it with something useful, whether or not we work together.

02

We question the brief before we accept it.

Most teams take a brief and start building. We test the assumptions first. If part of your plan doesn't hold up, we say so before work begins, while it's still cheap to change, rather than halfway through the build when it costs real money.

03

We design for the user before we build for the client.

We map every user journey before we design a screen, and we test the key screens before anyone writes code. The product is built for the person who'll use it every day, which is what makes it worth paying for.

04

We ship working software, not progress updates.

Every sprint ends with software you can open, click through and react to, not a slide deck or a status report. If something needs to change, you see it early, and it changes before it turns into a bigger problem.

05

We stay on the product after launch.

Many clients keep the same team on a monthly retainer after launch. The people who built your product already know the code and your users, so there's no handover, nobody needs re-briefing, and new features ship sooner.

Why UK startups and SMEs choose Exline Labs as their custom software development company.

We research before we build

Before we propose anything, we look into your users, your market and the problem you're solving. Software development for startups often means choosing between speed and quality. We don't think you should have to.

We know where AI-built code breaks

AI writes a lot of code now, and it's a big part of why most of our recent MVPs went live in about a week. The real skill is knowing what to keep, what to rewrite and what will fail once real users arrive. We fix AI-built apps every week, so we know where to look. And if your product doesn't need AI, we'll tell you.

One team, start to finish

The designer, developer and project lead you meet at the start stay with your product the whole way. We don't hand work to subcontractors or move people between accounts, so nothing gets lost and nobody has to catch up halfway through.

UK hours, UK hosting

Our team is in Sri Lanka and works 8am to 5pm UK time, so you can reach the people doing the work during your working day. The apps we host run on UK servers, with backups and monitoring, and we handle your data under UK GDPR.

10+ of our clients have stayed on with us after launch.

Clutch rating: 5 stars, 15 reviews

It isn't a long contract that keeps them. Our retainers run month to month. Clients stay because we raise problems early, we're honest about what's working and what isn't, and the product works for the people using it. That record is public: all 15 of our Clutch reviews are verified, and every one is rated 5.0.

Still have questions?

How long does the typical project take?

It depends on what you're building. An MVP takes 1 to 6 weeks, and most of our recent ones went live in about a week. A web application takes 6 to 8 weeks. Your proposal confirms the timeline before any work starts.

How long are your contracts for ongoing work?

Ongoing work runs on a monthly retainer. Dedicated developer engagements start with a one-month trial. After that, either side can end the engagement with one month's notice.

How do I start working with you?

Book a free discovery call, or send us a short brief through the contact page. There's no commitment. We research your project before we speak, and you get a fixed, milestone-based proposal within five working days of the call.

How much does custom software development cost?

It depends on what you need, but here's where things start. An assessment of an AI-built or no-code app is from £750, and a UX audit from £800. Focused web apps and internal tools start from £5,000. A focused mobile MVP starts from £10,000, and a web MVP from £15,000. A dedicated designer is from £2,200 a month, and a software engineer from £2,500. You get a fixed, milestone-based proposal before any work starts.

Are you a software development company for startups only?

No. We work with established SMEs too. C4 Logistics, for example, has kept our team on a monthly retainer since we rebuilt its platform.

Where will my app be hosted?

If we host it, in the UK. The apps we host run on UK servers, with backups and monitoring, and we handle your data under UK GDPR. If you'd rather run it on your own AWS, Azure or other cloud account, we'll set it up and deploy it there.

Will I be kept in the loop about the project?

Yes. You get daily updates in your own channels, access to the project board and a demo at the end of every sprint. We're online 8am to 5pm UK time, so you can reach us during your working day.

Who will own the intellectual property?

You do. All our work is done on a work-for-hire basis, so the code, designs and documentation are yours, and everything transfers to you on completion. We sign an NDA before you share anything sensitive.

Where is Exline Labs based?

Our registered office is in Trincomalee, Sri Lanka. Most of the team works from Colombo, and a few work remotely from other parts of Sri Lanka. We're all online 8am to 5pm UK time, Monday to Friday.

Can you take over an app built with AI or no-code tools?

Yes. We look at what you've built with tools like Lovable, Bolt or Bubble, fix what can be fixed and host it properly. We only rebuild the parts that need it.

Do you use AI to write code?

Yes, like most good engineering teams today. It's a big part of why our MVPs go live so quickly. Our engineers decide how the product is built and when it's ready to ship, and you own all of the code.
